Agents Not Responding

Agentive is built on top of OpenAI, due to this a number of issues can occur mainly with OpenAI API Keys. Below are some common errors and solutions when facing the issue of your Agents not responding.

  1. OpenAI API Key Balance is Low.

Agentive requires you to have a balance in your OpenAI account; usually, keeping this above $3 avoids running into issues. You can top up your OpenAI credits inside the OpenAI Playground. We also recommend turning on Auto Recharge so you don't have to keep topping up your account.

  1. Deleting OpenAI Key from OpenAI

In the case where your OpenAI key has been removed from OpenAI, any Agents tied to this key will stop working. Inside Agentive you will receive an error message if you try to create an Agent or KB on this key, furthermore when you try to message an existing Agent inside Agentive which was built on this OpenAI key the following error message will show.

  1. Deleting OpenAI Key from Agentive

When you delete an OpenAI key from inside Agentive you will be give a warning telling you any Agents or KB's tied to that OpenAI key will no longer be active. These Agents or KB's will now be considered "broken" and will be deactivated. Agents are able to be salvaged by transferring them to a new working OpenAI API key. However Knowledge bases are unable to be salvaged and must be deleted instead.

  1. Free Message Limit Hit

In October 2024 we released our pricing plan, this includes 200 free messages that we offer on behalf of Agentive. Any messages sent when this limit is hit will not send. To continue using Agentive you must put down a card which you can do in our Settings Page. You can learn more about our Pricing Plan Here.

You will be notified when your usage limit is it via this message on your Agent deployments.
